What is BuildQuill?+

Do I need to create an account to use the tools?+
No. All tools on BuildQuill work instantly without signup, login, or any account creation. Just open a tool and start using it.
Is BuildQuill really free to use?+
Yes, all tools are currently free to use. In the future we may introduce premium features, but the core tools will remain accessible.
Is my data safe on BuildQuill?+
Absolutely. All processing happens directly in your browser. Your text, code, and other inputs are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere. Nothing leaves your device.
Does BuildQuill store any of my text or code?+
No. We do not store, log, or transmit any content you enter into our tools. Everything is processed client-side in your browser.
Can I use BuildQuill on my phone or tablet?+
Yes. BuildQuill is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. All tools are optimized for touch and small screens.
What kind of tools does BuildQuill offer?+
BuildQuill offers tools across several categories: Writing Tools (word counter, case converter, lorem ipsum), Developer Tools (JSON formatter, regex tester, hash generator), Converter Tools (Base64, CSV to JSON, color converters), Color Tools (color picker, palette generator, contrast checker), SEO Tools (meta tag generator, schema markup), and more.
How is BuildQuill different from QuillBot?+
While QuillBot focuses primarily on AI-powered paraphrasing and grammar, BuildQuill offers a much broader suite of 200+ utility tools covering text processing, development, conversions, colors, SEO, and more - all running in your browser with zero data collection.
Can I use BuildQuill tools for commercial projects?+
Yes. There are no restrictions on how you use the output from our tools. Use them freely for personal, educational, or commercial work.
Do the tools work offline?+
Most tools require an initial page load, but once loaded, they process everything in your browser. Some tools may still need an internet connection for font loading or analytics scripts, but the core functionality works after the page loads.
Which browsers are supported?+
BuildQuill works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and their mobile versions. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best experience.
How do I report a bug or suggest a new tool?+
We welcome feedback. You can reach us at support@buildquill.com with bug reports, feature requests, or tool suggestions.
Does BuildQuill use cookies?+
We use minimal cookies for essential functionality (like saving your theme preference) and anonymous analytics through Google Analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
Are there any usage limits?+
There are no hard limits on how many times you use the tools. Since processing happens in your browser, there are no server-side rate limits to worry about.
Can I embed BuildQuill tools on my website?+
Currently, embedding is not supported. However, you are welcome to link to any tool page from your website.
How often are new tools added?+
We regularly add new tools and improve existing ones. Check our Release Notes page to see the latest additions.
Does BuildQuill have an API?+
Not at this time. All tools run directly in the browser. We may explore API access in the future.
Is BuildQuill open source?+
BuildQuill is not open source at this time, but we are committed to keeping our tools free and accessible.
What technologies power BuildQuill?+
BuildQuill is built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Tools run entirely in the browser using JavaScript, so your data stays on your device.
